Squat!
Back squat happened today. We also did presses but I skipped it so I wouldn’t be late for my meeting. How’d I do? Well… 116kg 3 sets of 5 — passed all of them! So that’s 255 lbs that I’m squatting, for anybody that doesn’t want to do the conversion. Another 20 kilos to go before I hit 300 — at this rate, that should take about 5 weeks — assuming I keep going at this rate, that is. Out of curiosity, to those who read this blog, would you be more interested in teachings about the what, why, and how of these movements? I can absolutely do this if you’d like me to ramble about the importance of a strong squat or the kip or whatever. Or I can stop talking about Crossfit altogether and try to talk about other musings of my life. Last night I went over to Javier’s place with Laura and Jun. We watched retro X-Men cartoons and compared it to the movie. All I can say is that I feel bad for Jubilee. The ending of each episode, where they click on an image of an X-Man with a mouse cursor and it displays their profile, the cursor clicks on her but then the ending image appears over top it, so you never see her profile. Sure, she’s useless, but she should get some air time, right?
