Camping and Grace

So first I will talk about the camping trip this past weekend.

All I can really say is that it was fun. I wouldn’t say anything particularly eventful happened at this camping trip that is worthy of specific mention. The sleeping was a little tight. That’s pretty much the only noteworthy aspect of it. Everything else that happened was what you’d expect from a camping trip.

I’d say what was more memorable was the car trip back (sad, right?). Particularly because we were playing this game where you had to find something specifically called out by a passenger in the car.

To exemplify the game, I will use that event which was memorable. Laura said “First person to find anything religious related”. So the object of the game was to be the first one to point out something religious.

I had made the following remark: “Couldn’t we just point to any American around here, since they’re all ridiculously religious?”. James said that wouldn’t work since there’s no way to prove that they’re religious.

Another point to make here is that we were driving back on Memorial Day, which is the equivalent of Rememberance Day in Canada. So while we were driving, we saw a lot of people on bridges waving American flags and so forth, being all very patriotic, as you’d expect.

Anyway, shortly after James said this, we came across a bridge with another American on a bridge with a poster saying “JESUS” with an arrow pointing forward.

We all laughed at the irony of this situation.

Yep. That was the most memorable moment of the trip.

This morning I did Grace. I learned I really need to improve my upper body strength, and work on Jerk technique.

Did it in 12:54.

Evidently, I didn’t even think I’d be able to do it at the prescribed weight (Okay, so I did it at like, 132 lbs, since we do it based on Kilos and… yeah. Either way, I would have been able to do as prescribed in roughly the same time)

That’s all for now.
