Where am I sore? Everywhere.
Okay, first, I don’t care anymore about whether people want to hear me talk about Crossfit. I like it. So I am going to blog about it, among other things.
Now that that’s settled, onward!
I am ridiculously sore. My arms feel like they’re being crushed by boulders.
Here are two reasons why. First, yesterday, I went to the advanced class, where we did the following workout:
3 L-Pullups
200 m run
6 strict pullups
200 m run
9 pullups (kipping, evidently)
1 mile run
12 L-Pullups
200m run
15 strict pullups
200m run
18 pullups
1 mile run
I did this in 29:01 (the fact that I did it is pretty awesome in my mind). But, as you can probably guess, the L-Pulls and the Strict pulls have pretty much killed my shoulders and arms.
This was last night. This morning I went in as well!
I attempted 5x3 BS at 120kg. I was close to getting it — if I had rested better last night I am sure I would have nailed it. I failed on my third one of the 3rd set, and bailed pretty poorly (it rolled down my backĀ = very bad!)
Then I worked on Power Cleans, where I still have a tendency to bend my arms (i.e. pull the bar). This does not help the arm situation.
I think I am going to rest well tonight and pass on CF tomorrow, go on Saturday.
I have also been invited by Max to go up to Vancouver this weekend. However, I think I am going to pass on this so that I can actually focus on getting my license. I really, really need to get going on getting a car. Truly sucks not having a car in this neck of the woods, and not having a license makes that even more difficult.
The hardest part now will be to cram in driving practice with my current schedule, along with the numerous trips I am making in July.
Oh well, I’ll figure it out somehow.
Until next time!
